Permit Specialist

As a Permit Specialist you will be responsible to process applications for sign permits, ensure that all code regulations are met in the design proofs, request corrections and changes as necessary, and persistently follow up with local permit offices to submit information and obtain status on project permits.

Would you like to be involved in getting permits for higher-end, creative projects that will be very visible around town? Can you read, learn, and understand local building codes? Can you interface with both customers and permit offices nationwide? Are you able to juggle and organize multiple projects at once without losing your head?

As a Permit Specialist you will be responsible to process applications for sign permits, ensure that all code regulations are met in the design proofs, request corrections and changes as necessary, and persistently follow up with local permit offices to submit information and obtain status on project permits.

Eye 4 Group has been in business since 2014, serving all of Indiana and surrounding states. We specialize in creating interior/exterior signage and building/monument signs for commercial and multi tenant properties, using are unique D.C.I. Process (Discover – Create – Implement).

The Position

We’re looking for a Permit Specialist that is detail-oriented, organized, courteous, persistent, FUN, fast, and willing to learn. Hourly range starting at $15-$25 with partial benefits.

  • Persistent follow-up with customers and local permit offices.
  • Ability to learn and understand local building codes.
  • Ability to read and understand site maps and project proofs.

  • Self-motivated and can work with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to use various technology tools and software, such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

The Responsibilities

  • Communicate with local permit offices to understand local building codes and unique permitting requirements.
  • Read and understand local building codes pertaining to job location.
  • Work with customers to obtain required documents for permit applications.
  • Coordinate with Design / Sales to ensure that project proofs/maps are accurate.
  • Keep track of permits and persistently follow up with local permitting offices and customers.
